ReplyDeleteDear Srineet and Prashantji,
ReplyDeleteIt is my understanding that the unmanifest Pradhana is eternal. Also I understand that upon contact with a Purusha this unmanifest Prakrtti differentiates (tattvas) into the ever changing gunas.
Therefore it can be assumed that Pradhana is eternal and unchanging, which are qualities of Purusha. Is this the case?
It seems that if this is the case, then what diffentiates these two principles is that Purusha is the source of consciousness, while Pradhana is simply the source of matter which on it's own has no consciousness and is essentially "dead".
Please help me to understand.
Also in the case of the movements of the natural world please help me to understand. For example, wind. Is wind subject to the gunas? Does the wind have Purusha? Or is the "Purusha" of the wind Brahma?
